This weekend we’re off on a roadtrip. Not too long this time; only a couple of hours each way, down to my folks in Western Victoria. The kids are well used to this trip and have planned what they want to take to make the journey pass more quickly – iPods, drink bottles, a toy each and new books bought at the school book fair today.
In keeping with the travel bent, here are a few interesting bits I found on the interwebs this week:
- How much kids stuff can you check in or carry on at Nick Bowditch Travel: A handy rundown of various Australian airlines’ policies on kids gear, such as strollers and car seats.
- Should you start a travel blog at Almost Fearless: Discussion on the different options for keeping memories of your trip and communicating with friends and family while away.
- Tesselaar Tulip Festival: It’s nearly spring time in the Dandenongs. The tulip festival has a full month of colour and entertainment on offer.
- 7 travel freebies to entertain your kids at Freebies 4 Mom: Great ideas for when you find yourself unprepared or empty handed.
- Keeping kids happy in the car at Journeyer’s Chronicles: Yes, this is one of mine! These are some of our own tried and true ways to maintain some peace on the road
I hope you enjoy your weekend, where ever you find yourself
