Grocery Shopping Blues

in Homekeeping

I am so over grocery shopping.  Every week for the last, ohhh, 3 months I have tried to find a reason not to do it.  The unfortunate fact is that my family has to eat.  Bugger.

I’m pretty sure I’ve made it as quick and painfree as possible – menu plan, Aldi has only 4 aisles, only take one child with me.

But the put in in the trolley, take it out of the trolley at the checkout, put it back in the trolley, take it out of the trolley at the car, take it out of the car, put it on the bench so that finally I can put it in the pantry and fridge.  Only to have to take it out again to cook.

Can you see the madness?

Maybe we should just move into the supermarket and eat straight off the shelves.  Now there’s a thought …

I think today I’ll try buying two weeks’ worth of groceries so I don’t have to go through it all again next week.  And I might just buy a couple of packets of choccy biscuits as a reward ;-)
