The best thing about digital cameras is you can take a bazillion shots and it doesn't cost a cent. I still use auto sometimes when I want to be absolutely sure I get a good shot - like the kids blowing out their birthday candles or something. Give it a go! I dearly want a DSLR and am trying out my sister's Canon 350D. I have its photos and others I've taken with my Panasonic camera plastered throughout my blog.
