I tend to bit a little early generally. My wife is more the on the dot to five minutes late person so together we get it right just about every time.

I always try and ad some additional time as a contingency for unforeseen stuff a which makes me generally early. My wife generally uses most of the contingency up getting ready so that we arrive mostly on time.

I have actually learnt that there is no point trying to rush my wife as it just makes us both cranky so I normally sit down and read some Calvin and Hobbes while I wait for my wife to get ready.
