		<description>This is an interesting post. I am not sure how I feel about this since I have always been home with my kids. I guess my gut feeling is to let employers make their own decision. Maybe they will lose some great employees if they don&#039;t give paid maternity leave, but that is their choice to make.

		<description>I actually see it as a double edged sword.  Some women MAY have an advantage but I feel others are potentially disadvantaged by employers reluctance to employ them.  Someone somewhere will have to bear the cost too and I can&#039;t help but think it&#039;ll be the consumer (as they tend to always be where the buck stops).  If living costs increase because of it, are we really going to be better off?
